30 August @ 7:00 pm - 31 August @ 5:00 am
Yay…come celebrate the end of Winter with some cockle warming punk – with a dash of new wave, at Melbourne’s home of misfits and freaks; Bombay Rock! Entry is free!
8:00pm – Commissioner Bourbon
9:00pm – The Shorts
10:00pm – The One Twos
11:00 – Forklift Assassins
Commissioner Bourbon are a three piece punk band brewed in Footscray. They’re released one EP to date, “Punching Darts, Breaking Hearts”, which they are concerned may have been the sound of the band peaking already!
Straight outta Ballarat, THE SHORTS bring their brand of punk rock to the big smoke. According to sources from the band, the Shorts are the second best band in the state! That might be due to their energetic music, catchy melodies and self-deprecating approach to life!
THE ONE TWOS play old skool punk, straight from the garage; short, rough, loud. All punch and no frills, the music is served up with guitar, bass, drums and vocals – is anything else really needed? Unafraid to voice an Australian accent and push forward undiluted points of view, these straight up songs shout down government policy, the big end of town and various fuckwits and phobias; ranting, menacing and threatening…as punk should.
Finishing off the night will be FORKLIFT ASSASSINS, a loud, mean and aggressive three piece featuring pounding drums, pumping bass and wailing guitars. Influenced by old school punk, stoner rock and metal, this band are the new white noise in Melbourne! https://www.facebook.com/forkliftassassins/
